An NIH-funded Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available in the
lab of Nils G. Walter at the University of Michigan, Chemistry Department,
to study the folding and conformational dynamics of catalytic RNA by
fluorescence spectroscopy (for details see Nat. Struct. Biol. 6 (1999)
544; www.umich.edu/~rnapeopl). Excellent research facilities, including a
state-of-the-art Ti:Sapphire laser system for time-resolved spectroscopy
using single-photon counting, are available for this highly
interdisciplinary project. Motivated candidates with demonstrated skills
in time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy and/or laser use are
particularly encouraged to apply. Please send your curriculum vitae with
publication list and the names, addresses, and phone numbers of three
references by Oct. 31 via email to Dr. Nils Walter at [log in to unmask],
or by mail to the address below.
