Oracle DBA/Developer
Salary range: Up to £30,000 pa.
2 Year, fixed-term contract
The Tate galleries house the national collection of British art from the
sixteenth century to the present day, including the Turner Bequest, and the
national collection of international modern art.
The gallery has undertaken an ambitious programme of development and
expansion including the creation of the new Tate Modern at Bankside, and
Tate Britain on the existing Millbank site. As part of our development, it
is vital for us to ensure the efficiency of our IS systems and look for
improvements. You will report to our IS Development Manager and have a key
role to play. As well as performing routine maintenance on our Oracle
systems, you will analyse requirements for changes to key applications, then
plan, design, develop, test, implement and maintain those changes. You will
need at least 12 months' Oracle experience and an excellent understanding of
relational database design concepts and usage. Drawing on your knowledge,
you'll be able to reference successful development projects and produce good
quality planning and technical documentation.
