Dear Colleagues:
According to several sources, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria initialed a
maritime boundary treaty on 31 August in Abuja and their Presidents were to
have signed or ratified the agreement in late September, when President
Obasanjo visited Malabo [BBC News Online 24 Sep 2000; Panafrican News Agency
(Lagos) 4 Sep 2000; This Day (Lagos) 1 Sep 2000]. Charles Gurdon, posted an
earlier message to us about the accord on 26 April 1999. I have been unable
to verify that the agreement has been signed.
Did the Presidents sign/ratify the agreement? Is the text available?
Any help would be appreciated.
Dan Dzurek
