RESEARCH FELLOW (RA1A) – Medical geography/GIS
This NHSE-funded project will examine how sociodemographic
factors influence health in London, and how it compares with health
in the rest of the country. This post offers the opportunity to bring a
geographical perspective to health inequalities research. Working
with a team of health researchers, responsibilities will include
statistical and spatial analysis of data from the Health Survey for

Applicants must have Master’s degree (including medical geography
or GIS, and quantitative research methods & statistics components);
and knowledge of SPSS or similar statistical package. Experience
using GIS software, an interest in health research, proven written
communication skills, previous experience of large and complex
datasets and knowledge of multilevel modelling techniques are
desirable but not essential.
Salary: £20,319 -£22,945 pa inclusive. Appointment: 2 years from
as soon as possible after 1 May in the first instance. Applications,
