Business Development Managers
UCL Business is a new unit which was established to further develop the
University's interaction with business and maximise the commercial
exploitation of its world class research and knowledge transfer.
The unit is seeking to appoint two additional Business Development
managers with responsibility for developing, promoting and strengthening
the collaboration and interaction between the University and industry in
the following business Sectors;
* Systems Engineering
* Geographic and Environmental Information
These are both areas of academic strength within the University and
business sectors of current and future importance.
The candidates must be graduates with sound commercial experience in which
Sales and Marketing have played a significant part, preferably in a
Systems Engineering or Geographic and Environmental Information environment.
They should have excellent communication, presentation and networking
skills allied with the ability to inspire confidence internally and
externally at all levels. They must also be sensitive to the challenges of
running a commercial operation within an academic setting.
This is a fixed term appointment for three years in the first instance.
Salary will depend substantially upon experience but will be in the range
of 35k to 45k.
