Ends and Means is edited and published by the University of Aberdeen Centre
for Philosophy
Technology and Society. It is issued in printed and electronic form twice a
year. Ends and Means
publishes articles on all aspects of the philosophy of technology, and has a
special interest in the
philosophical and conceptual implications of technological innovation in
medicine, the media and
the environment.
Submissions
Contributions should normally be 2000-5000 words in length. Short
discussions are also
welcome, especially if these relate to previously published articles. Two
copies of a typescript
should be submitted in the first instance. These may be submitted by e-mail
to [log in to unmask]
or by post to Ends and Means, Centre for Philosophy, Technology and Society,
University of
Aberdeen, Old Brewery, Old Aberdeen SCOTLAND AB24 3UB. Authors whose
submissions have
been accepted for publication will be asked to supply material
electronically.
Books for review should be sent to the Editor. It is the policy of the
journal to include a short note on new books as close to publication as
possible, with a full length review in a later issue. The journal is willing
to consider unsolicited book reviews.
Subscription
At present Ends and Means is distributed free, and is freely available on
the internet. Those who
wish to receive a printed copy should send their name and address to the
Editor at the CPTS. Those who access the electronic version can join an
electronic subscribers list and will be advised of each new issue.
