Dear all
I am the archivist for the RSLP Clinical Notes project and I am
conducting a survey of non-current clinical records across
Scotland. The information collected during the survey will
eventually be used to create a Web-mounted finding aid at series
and selected item level. I have looked into the options for a vehicle
for the data and have come to the conclusion that either some form
of template or MS Access database would serve the purpose. I am
conscious of the fact that there are issues associated with both of
these options, such as the problem of migration and maintaining
the structure of the information. I would like to hear from anybody
who has had experience of this type of exercise and can perhaps
offer a few nuggets of wisdom.
Please reply off-list and I'll provide a summary of all information
offered.
Regards
David
