A couple of thoughts:
Please remember to allow access for distance learners who come to your
library/computer centre as one would hope access will be reciprocated
elsewhere
There is a system used by the library community called Athens to allow
remote access to resources by password (mainly e-journals) which might be
able to have wider application.
