I always think it's better for both to work. If I wanted to have a look
at BIOME then I'd automatically type:
www.biome.ac.uk (which doesn't work)
into a browser, rather than
biome.ac.uk (which does).
Even though I know it involves more typing. It just seems "more
right" to have a URL starting with a www.
Much better, surely, to cater for idiots like me and have both working,
e.g. bized.ac.uk and www.bized.ac.uk (not to mention the easy to type
http://bizednet.bris.ac.uk:8080/ !)
Cheers,
Ian
