I see from a report on Ananova (http://ananova.com/news/story/sm_110701.html)
that .com, .net and .org domain names using Chinese, Japanese and
Korean characters are being accepted as part of a test, that could then
be extended to Arabic and others later. Anyone intending to register
such a domain? And if so, what changes need to be made on a web server
(if any) to be able to serve up pages written in these languages? Can
existing search/indexing engines cope with these characters? Does anyone
think any of this will ever catch on?
Best wishes,
Adrian
