REQUEST FOR INTEGRATED TRANSPORT LINK PARTNERS FROM INFOMATIQ LTD.
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are a newly formed engineering company interested in transport-related
applications of mass-market mobile technology. Our background is in real-world
wireless telemetry and scaleable information delivery and processing systems.
As such we are interested in fostering relations with the transport engineering
research community with a view to;
o Incorporating sound scientific thought into our products.
o Providing a commercial sounding board and outlet for ideas.
o Co-operating on specific projects at all mutually beneficial levels.
In the short-term we are focused on a low-cost in-car navigation and
information system. Our longer-term plans involve delivery of integrated
transport information infrastructure products and services.
We have only just become aware (you presumably have us at a disadvantage) of
the DETR's FIT LINK program.
The deadline for proposals for FUNDING OF BUSINESS-ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIP
projects in the area of INTEGRATED TRANSPORT under this scheme is 6TH NOVEMBER
2000.
We would be very interested to hear of any groups or individuals interested in
this scheme and requiring commercial partners for projects in the following
general areas;
o Real-time multi-modal route processing, especially with focus upon
scaleability.
o Public transport telemetry and monitoring.
o Road traffic monitoring through in-car telemetry.
o Integrated transport public information infrastructure.
We look forward talking to you soon, on the FIT programme or any other
collaborative ideas,
Yours sincerely,
Dan Moore ([log in to unmask])
