SURVEY RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET - THE HONEYMOON IS OVER !
A One-Day Conference hosted by the
ASSOCIATION FOR SURVEY COMPUTING
28 September 2000, Imperial College, London
The Internet is now established, and is likely to shape the way survey
researchers operate in the future. This conference aims to be hard
hitting and focus on the real issues of the internet as a survey
research tool for the 21st century. While much of the hype has been
consumer based, the Business-to-Business market has enormous potential
and projections for growth.
Speakers at the ASC's next one-day conference will include:
o RICHARD BOLDEN (University of Exeter): How Internet Technology Could
Revolutionise the Survey and Analysis Process
o JUDITH BUDD and COLIN BRADORD (Forrester Research): Challenges in
Researching the UK Internet Population
o HENNRIETTA O'CONNOR and CLARE MADGE (University of Leicester): 'When it's
Face-to-Face it's Harder'. Online Group Interviewing.
o MARY MCINTOSH and JEAN D'AMICO (Princeton Survey Research Associates):
Mode Effects of Online and Telephone Surveys Among Elites.
o MARKUS GUTTLER and KLAUS NEUMANN (Scopeland Software): Metadata-Based
Direct Data Processing for Hardcode-Free Applications on the Web.
o DONNA HUMPHREYS (Pulse Train Technology): The Internet Revolution in Real
Time Reporting
o KARL FELD (Western Wats Opinion Research Centre) and STEVE WYGANT (Brigham
Young University): The Impact of e-Interviewers on Web-Based Survey
Research
o RAY POYNTER (Milward Brown IntelliQuest): We've Got Five Years.
