Dear Colleagues,
After extensive beta testing, (rather more than originally planned),
the final release of SPM99 is now available! The authors would like to
thank those of you who participated in the beta testing phase.
We hope you will enjoy it very much.

Although we have tried hard to produce high quality software, in a
project of this size and complexity there are certainly some remaining
bugs. Please assist us by reporting bugs to:
<[log in to unmask]>. Peculiarities, feedback, and general
queries on the use and theory of the software should be raised on the
SPM email discussion list <[log in to unmask]>) - stating clearly
the version you are using!
Bugs and fixes will be posted on the list, and described in the
README.txt file in the SPM99_updates anonymous FTP area, at
ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm99_updates, from where updated
programs can be downloaded.
----------------
SPM is developed under the auspices of The Wellcome Department of
Cognitive Neurology, a department of the Institute of Neurology at
University College London.
SPM99 was primarily developed by: John Ashburner (WDoCN), Karl Friston
(WDoCN), Andrew Holmes (WDoCN & Robertson Centre for Biostatistics,
University of Glasgow, Scotland), Jean-Baptiste Poline (CEA/DRM/SHFJ,
Orsay, France); with contributions from Matthew Brett (MRC-CBU,
Cambridge, England) and Stephanie Rouquette (CEA/DRM/SHFJ, Orsay,
France); and theoretical input from Keith Worsley (Department of
Statistics, McGill University, Montreal, Canada). With thanks the
inumerable "others" who have provided feedback and suggestions...
----------------
On a personal note, this will be my last outing as the "SPM manager".
As of today, John Ashburner will be carrying the mantle...
Hope this helps,
-andrew
