CALL FOR PAPERS
The 80th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board
Session on:
Artificial Intelligence Application in Infrastructure Analysis and Design
Sponsored jointly by:
Artificial Intelligence Committee (A5008) and
Committee on Strength and Deformation Characteristics of Pavements (A2B05)
Authors are invited to submit original contributions describing techniques
and/or the results
of application of any artificial intelligence tool (eg. neural networks,
expert systems, etc.) in
studying any of the infrastructure design or analysis problems. In
particular, application of AI
techniques in:
* Interpretation of non-destructive or destructive testing results
* Nonlinear structural/material applications
* Hybrid structural modeling techniques using combination of any numerical
modeling
technique (eg. finite element and neural nets)
* Design or response analysis in pavements, airport runways, bridges, or
any other
infrastructure component or subcomponent
* Other innovative applications of artificial intelligence in analyzing or
forecasting structural
response
* Analysis of LTPP data.
Interested authours are encouraged to submit complete papers to TRB no
Later than August 1,
2000. Authors should indicate on the paper submittal form that your are
responding to the
session on:
ìArtificial Intelligence Application in Infrastructure Analysis and
Design,î sponsored jointly
by Committees A5008 and A2B05.
First consideration will be given to formal papers that are recommended by
reviewers for
presentation. Please indicate your willingness to present a paper by
sending an e-mail
message to the session organizer indicating the paper title and names of
all authors. If you
