Please could someone give a bit more information about what a portal web
site is meant to be? I looked on the website Richard mentioned as having
just been launched by Liam Donaldson and it looked more like
spin-doctoring than information. Given that there is very little funding
for regional observatories, how is what currently looks like hot air going
to be converted into hot news?
