Dear all,
Just a short note to thank those of you who responded to my email regarding
short courses in genetics operating in the UK. I've had some very useful
responses.
I also received emails from people on the mailbase who were interested in
having the information copied to them that I received. So here it is...
In summary:
1 The Open University runs short science courses and in particular, one
entitled an 'Introduction to the Human Genome' Details are available on
their web site at: http://www.open.ac.uk/science/short/index.htm
2 The Institute for Child Health runs short courses on a range of topics.
I am awaiting feedback from them and will update the mailbase in due course.
3 There is an online course at:
http://morgan.rutgers.edu/MorganWebFrames/Level1/Page1/p1.html
4 GIG did run short genetics courses but due to funding restrictions these
will not be available in the forseeable future. They are hoping to arrange
these again however should new funding opportunities arise.
5 I am waiting to hear from several other sources and when I have more
concrete info will feed this into the group.
With best wishes,
Yvonne
