German joins the Pilot team
The German research and education ministry has joined its counterparts in France and the United Kingdom in funding AlphaGalileo. 'Wissenschaft im Dialog', the German initiative to promote the understanding of science and technology will act as the Ministry's agent and now joins l'Association Française pour l'Avancement des Sciences and the British Association for the Advancement of Science as the national representatives of the project.

Service upgrade plans
We are now working to implement, at the beginning of April, two improvements to the service. The keywords will be expanded to provide greater flexibility in the alerts journalists receive. These will include the ability to select by language of the release as well as breaking the science category into physics, chemistry, life sciences and earth science.
We will also begin to offer post-submission editing for contributors. Hopefully no longer will you need to ask the editor to change details or embargo dates.
-----------------------------------------
Best ever month for the second month
February with 50,972 page accesses was the busiest month ever for AlphaGalileo, beating the previous best January by almost 10,000 page accesses. This pushes our projected yearly access rate to beyond half a million for the first time.
