Right, but it was in Grape Lane, Whitby, that he served his
(abbreviated) apprenticeship, and it was from Whitby (I think)
that his first Pacific expedition sailed. The clincher for me,
though, was the Faxer's aleutians to the Whitby Harbour Cookie
Memorial.
Dunno what to think about the poetry malarkey--just hope he's
come back to unravel the Stolen Boat Mystery and reveal
