Hi This is a reminder of the forthcoming IMA conference in
Maintenance and reliability modelling.

THE INSTITUTE OF MATHEMATICS AND ITS APPLICATIONS

FOURTH IMA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON

MODELLING IN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE AND RELIABILITY
"DECISION SUPPORT IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM"

9-11 April 2001 University of Salford,
Greater Manchester, UK

CALL FOR PAPERS

The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for
discussion of
traditional and innovative modelling approaches to improve the
performance
of plant, products and processes. Of particular interest are
contributions
to modelling issues in:

· Maintenance (inspection, preventive maintenance, replacement,
spares);
· Condition monitoring (methodology, decision support);
· Reliability (design improvement, reliability and risk analysis,
reliability-centred-maintenance);
· Warranty modelling (methodology, human factors).

Other contributions in related areas would be welcome.

This conference follows on from the success of earlier IMA
supported
conferences in Mathematical Modelling in Maintenance
(Edinburgh, 1992 &
1998; Salford, 1995). The conference will be co-chaired by Dr.
Philip Scarf
and Dr. Wenbin Wang of the University of Salford. Informal
enquiries may be
directed to them and other members of the organising committee
listed
overleaf.

CALL FOR PAPERS:
Abstracts of 300-500 words, for the selection of papers for
presentation,
should be sent to Pamela Bye at the address below by 31
October 2000.  Full
papers will be required by 31 January 2001 for full refereeing for
the
conference proceedings.
