We have presented many different prevention programs for a number of years.
I am not sure what kind of outcomes it has produced, however do think it has
helped. To date do not have any outcome data on companies where this was
presented. There are a great number of professional articles and booklets on
back care. I think any educational endeavor, such as this, takes years to
change the corporate culture...creating an atmosphere that prevents back
injuries or any other prevention program. Although the idea of prevention
has been kicked around for years it is not something that very many companies
here in the states invest a great deal of time nor money in. It appears to be
difficult for a company to understand the concept that sometimes one has to
spend a bit money to make or save money...
Any prevention program starts on the management level, filters down and buy
in by the troops is not a one time hit, but an ongoing process that is part
of a budget each year.
Good Luck!
