Scientific programme: The school will be dedicated to provide an overview
of the most recent advances in the fields of Femtochemistry, Femtobiology
and Femtophysics. The course will cover experimental and theoretical
aspects on femtosecond laser technology, gas phase reaction dynamics,
reaction dynamics in condensed phases, proton and electron transfer,
photoisomerization, primary steps in photosynthesis and vision,
femtosecond multiphoton confocal microscopy, control of molecular
processes, wavepacket dynamics, semiconductor clusters and nanocrystals,
solid phase dynamics and ultrafast phase transitions.
Registration: The school is opened to about 60 graduate students and
post-doctoral young researchers, both theoretical and experimental, in the
fields of Femtochemistry, Femtobiology and Femtophysics. The registration
fee is 21,000 Spanish Pesetas. Lodging and full board is available at the
price of 46,000 Spanish Pesetas.
Grants from the Complutense University and from the European Science
Foundation through the ULTRA programme (member organizations are Austria,
Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary,
Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and
