I would like to say that whilst the PD Mining Museum certainly can't
afford a dedicated conservator, material is sent elsewhere for
conservation. We are inspected at regular intervals by the Museums
Association, in order that we conform to all their standards regarding
storage, documentation, etc. We have to have this accreditation to
receive grants and support from outside bodies.
We do try.
