"A glossary of terms used in the Coal Trade of Northumberland and
Durham by G.C. Greenwell (reprint ) original published in 1849,
reprint in 1970. There is also the Compleat Collier (or the whole Art
of sinking getting and working coal-mines as is now used in the
Northern Parts, especially about Sunderland and New-castle' by J.C.
also a reproduction (original 1708 reprinted 1979).
