Sorry Bernard but you are once again well out of your depth. If you knew
anything about historical metallurgy or the conservation of archaeological
materials you would not have made such a simplistic and incorrect statement.
Iron is a very chemically unstable material and there are no effective ways
to prevent its decay. The best you can hope for is to slow down it's
degradation.
The worlds greatest museums have not managed to solve this problem, but if
you have, i am sure they will be grateful for your advice!
As for well advised mining museums i have yet to find one with a dedicated
conservator. The vast majority of mining museums are run on a volunteer
basis and frankly the average level of cutorial care falls far short of the
minimum standards practiced in professionally run museums.
