Hello Ian
I missed the beginning of this thread, but if it's of any use to you, I have
the names, ages and addresses (all county Durham) of the 168 men and boys
who worked at West Stanley Colliery who died in the underground explosion of
February 16th, 1909. The list is originally transcribed from the Consett
Chronicle. I believe it may already be on the internet somewhere and you may
already have the details, but if not please contact me and I will mail you
the excel document containing the information.
Kind Regards
Kim Bewick (Cardiff)

In the Forest of Dean Local History Society we are trying to put together a
list of mining fatalities for the Forest of Dean to form a 'Roll of
Honour'. May I ask where you picked up your October list from?
Ian
