recruit to the following post at our Glenside Campus.
PART-TIME ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN
GLENSIDE CAMPUS
UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF ENGLAND
BRISTOL
18.5 hours per week
Fixed term for 2 years
Salary on the unchartered scale £13,179-£15,558 pro rata
Based at the Glenside Campus Library, which serves the
Faculty of Health and Social Care, the duties will be
varied including staff supervision and working on the
enquiry desk. The postholder will also be responsible for
the audio-visual collection and have the opportunity to
develop a range of professional skills including
classification and user education. Flexibility is required
and opportunities may arise to work elsewhere within the
service.
Applicants must have a professional qualification in
librarianship or information science. At least six months
experience of working in a library is essential as are
sound reference and enquiry skills. Supervisory experience
and experience of working in an academic environment would
be an advantage.
