"I.L.T. - What's in it for me?"
A half-day meeting on membership of the Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
To be held at the University of Reading, December 7th 2000, 2pm-5pm.
Are you involved in user education and/or learning support? Do you want to be recognised for the valuable professional work you do? Do you want to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in teaching and learning?
Then you should consider joining the Institute for Learning and Teaching.
The Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (ILT) is the first professional body for all who teach and support learning in higher education in the UK. Membership of the ILT is open to everyone engaged in teaching and learning support in higher education - including librarians.
Benefits of membership include publications, events, continuing professional development opportunities, networking, enhanced access to research data, members' discounts and accredited membership of a nationally recognised professional organisation.
Until September 2001 experienced teachers and others working in learning support can apply directly for membership of the ILT by submitting a short reflective analysis of their professional activity.
Find out what all the fuss is about! With speakers representing the ILT and the applicant's perspective, this half-day workshop is designed to help you find out more about the ILT and to provide help and advice for those in the process of applying.
