      Online edition of the British regional newspaper for the
      Jewish community. Covers weekly regional news stories from

      PDF document investigating the views of US parents and
      children relating to privacy and security on the Web.
      Describes a study examining ideas held by 8-17 year olds
      and their parents in the year 2000 compared with the same
      information gathered in 1998. Also considers the frequency
      of Internet use within each group.

      Java-based tutorial designed to teach patrons and library

 Building Digital Collections: Technical Information and
 Background Papers
      Provides an insight into the digitisation process, covering
      technical procedures such as conversion, scanning, text
      mark-up, repository development, web interface design,
      workflow and production, and rights and restrictions.
 Select Committee on Culture Media and Sport: Public Libraries
      Report and proceedings of the committees investigation of
      the public library system in the UK. Addresses topics such

 Report of Digital Scotland Task Force - May 2000
      Examines the potential impact of digital technologies on

 National Museum of Women in the Arts
      Museum dedicated to female artists of all periods and
      nationalities. Exhibitions are organised by artistic era
      starting with renaissance through to modernism of the late
      20th century. The history of the gallery, member services,

 US State Personal Income 1958-1997

 Abbreviations and Acronyms of US Government
      Alphabetical listing of governmental terms commonly used in
      the US, with links to corresponding bodies.
 National Children's Bureau
      Promotes the interests and well-being of children and young
      people across every aspect of their lives. Offers
      information on policy formation on a range of children's
      issues, details holdings in the NCB library, and provides a
      catalogue of Bureau publications. Resource is keyword
      searchable.
 Internet Fraud Complaint Center
      Partnership between the FBI and National White Collar Crime
      Center, providing a reporting mechanism for Internet users
      in the USA to alert authorities of suspected fraud
      committed over the Internet. Once submited, reports are
      then directed to appropriate local agencies for further
      action.
 DfEE: Adult Learning Opportunities
      Offers information and advice on the range of adult
      learning opportunities available in the UK, focussing on
      addressing the concerns which potential learners may have
      about returning to education.
 London College of Fashion: College Archive
      Searchable collection of fashion related images, providing
      the name of the creator, date of design, a brief
      description, style or era to which the piece belongs,
      subject area, repository number, and the medium of each
      entry. Material traces the development of the College and
      its work up until the 1970s.

 Language-Learning.net
      Database of language schools located in over 70 countries
      throughout the world. Searches provide contact details of
      over 6000 institutions, specifics of language courses, and
      accommodation facilities available.
 Braille It
      Service which transcribes print, electronic, or taped
      materials into Braille documents for blind people.
      Describes the arrangement of dots in Braille with some
      examples of letters and contracted words, and outlines the
      methods for conveying numbers, music, and computer
      notation.
 Word Detective
      Online version of the US newspaper column which answers
      readers' questions about words and language. Features an
      archive of back columns arranged either by the word or
      phrase they cover, or by the date of publication.
 Spanish Online
      Offers access to an open and distance learning course in
      Spanish from Manchester Metropolitan University. The course
      is entirely free and fully accredited, though access is
      restricted to residents of England only.

 Sue at the Field Museum
      Introduces the fossilised Tyrannosaurus Rex discovered in
      South Dakota in 1990. Named Sue, after its discoverer, the
      remains are regarded as the best preserved and most
      complete example of the species uncovered to date. Gives
      measurement information such as weight of skull and length
      of teeth, and offers details of her significance and the
      dispute over ownership and purchase. Also describes the
      preparation and mounting of the skeleton, and recent
      developments.

      Provides access to a range of full text news articles,
      press releases, fact sheets, photographs, and radio and
      video footage released by the World Health Organization.
 Autism Society of America
      Group catering for the needs of those with the
      developmental disability known as autism and their
      families, by increasing awareness through education and
      research. Provides information on the cause and effects of
      the disorder, diagnosis, characteristics of sufferers, and
      coping mechanisms.
 Mission Launches
      Provides news of space mission launches, a database of
      exploratory missions which travelled beyond the Earth's
      orbit, and offers a calendar of forthcoming missions from
      around the world.
 Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in Horses
      Article which details the effects of CFS in horses and
      describes the diagnosis and treatment of four animals. A
      full list of references is given and abstracts and key
      words are also available in French.
 CPAnet
      Collection of links relating to accounting and finance
      issues. Categories include professional resources,
      financial reporting, international and government
      accounting, and accounting software.
 Advertising World
      Series of links to advertising resources including
      agencies, publications, marketing tools, legal bodies,
      educational material, and production companies for film,
      video, packaging, photography, Web pages, and
      unconventional media such as balloons, bins, floors, and
      flying logos.

 Island Ireland
      Directory of Irish arts, culture, and environment
      resources. Topics covered include Irish literature, music,
      architecture, history, folk culture, archaeology, the Irish
      language, and genealogy. Brief descriptions of each
      resource are provided.
 Tate Modern
      Introduces Britain's new modern art gallery, providing
      details of public events, special exhibitions, and
      information about the building itself which was formerly
      Bankside Power Station. Collections from the 20th century
      are organised into four major display themes, which lead to
      rooms, and then individual works, with images where
      available.
 Great Buildings Online
      Database referencing photographs, models, architectural
      drawings, and commentaries which document thousands of
      buildings and prominent architects. Data can be browsed or
      searched by building, architect, or location, with a
      keyword searching facility also available.
 FreeFoto.com
      Collection of over 8000 photographs provided free for
      non-commercial use on the Internet. Photos are arranged by
      categories which include animals, church, food and drink,
      industry, nature, and transport, and countries such as
      Australia, France, Japan, the USA, and the UK. Pictures are
      also available for sale to commercial users.
 Artslynx International Dance Resources
      Directory of dance related material including
      organisations, publications and magazines, research,
      publishers, university programs, studios, videos,
      employment opportunities, associated art work, and
      software. A keyword search facility is provided.
 CricketLine.com
      Provides English county scores, news, fixtures, results,
      and team statistics, together with information on
      international teams including Australia, India, New
      Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies,
      and Zimbabwe.

 David Dodge (1910-1974)
      Offers information on Dodge's novels including the 'Whit'
      and 'Colby' series, To Catch a Thief which formed the basis
      for an Alfred Hitchcock film, travel books and articles,
      short stories, and plays. Also features biographical
      references, and a scrapbook of family photographs.
 Canadian Literature: A Quarterly of Criticism and Review
      Provides tables of contents from 1959 to the present day
      for the print journal. Also offers an archive of reviews,
      and selected full text articles from the latest issue.
 Canadian Literature Archive
      Collection of links to Canadian literature sources,
      including a selection of texts, pages devoted to authors
      such as Margaret Atwood, William Gibson, and Hugh
      MacLennan, writers organisations, and author

      publications.
 Canadian Poetry
      Offers poems, biographies, and bibliographies of a range of
      Canadian poets, a listing of online poetry journals,

 Great Excavations
      Complements the Channel 4 television series outlining the
      origins, history, and current state of archaeology, with
      six major sections corresponding to the programmes in the
      series. In addition to text and pictures outlining the
      content of each programme, a range of relevant web and
      print resources are suggested for further research.
 Patrice Emery Lumumba (1925-1961)
      Outlines significant events in the life of the Democratic
      Republic of the Congo's first nationalist Prime Minister,
      who was assassinated in 1961. Includes books, letters,
      speeches, poems, and details of the International Patrice
      Lumumba Society.
