euroguide Relaunch
www.euroguide.org <http://www.euroguide.org>
Essex Libraries are pleased to announce that euroguide has been completely
updated and is now using ROADS software - the gateway software used by a
number of subject gateways.
The new version is available at the original address and incorporates all
the facilities of the original - (ask us a question, suggest a site, what's
new and A-Z) - together with a new keyword search facility.
ROADS software has made a great difference to the flexibility of the site.
Links can be added or updated overnight so that the site can change as soon
as we are aware of problems. We have kept the very simple structure for ease
of use and are planning to expand the descriptions about each site to make
browsing more effective.
We are seeking volunteers to help us identify suitable new sites and add the
descriptive information to existing sites. If there is a category you would
be particularly interested in 'looking after' please contact us via email at
<mailto:[log in to unmask]> [log in to unmask] ,
marking the subject euroguide.
We would also welcome any comments on the new site, suggestions for
improvements and notification of any glaring omissions. Again, please
contact us at <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
[log in to unmask] , marking the subject euroguide.
We would like to thank Sara Ann Kelly (Essex Libraries) and Paul Hollands at
ILRT, Bristol for developing the new site, and also UKOLN, who have kindly
agreed to host the site for us.
