we print out the documents in the library and then pass the paper copy on
to the user.
This is partly for copyright reasons to ensure that the electronic version
is destroyed once it has been printed out.
also, the ariel email uses a TIFF file as part of the embedded email for
the document - several people here have had problems when we tried to
forward things on to them, so we find it easier to just give them a paper
copy. When we print out the article, we staple a copyright form to the
front, for subsequent signing & return.
we could send them the email if we really wanted, but then we have no
control over what they do with the electronic copy.
We use the BLDSC suggested wording (in their faxback/Ariel users handbook)
which makes reference to articles that have been delivered by an electronic
method.
