Yes, at present a library can provide a URL for on-campus users
which will take them to the title issue page on SwetsNet for a specific
electronic journal, but off-campus users have to use the NESLI
gateway URL to log-in to SwetsNet using ATHENS and then
navigate manually to the required journal.
The NESLI Managing Agent is investigating whether a convenient
solution might be implemented wherby one journal-specific URL
would suffice for both on-campus and off-campus users, with the
latter being prompted for ATHENS username & password.. We
realise that this is an important issue for UK HE institutions and will
attempt to find an acceptable solution.
Further information will be circulated to NESLI representatives and to
the library community when available.
