Dear Ben
In my experience this happens every January with certain titles. I
have always assumed that it is caused by computers programmed to switch
off access on Jan 1st if they don't know about a renewal, and that
accounts departments are just being slow with their processing.
Renewal of print subs is on a much more relaxed timetable, because
monthlies and quarterlies won't be mailed till long after the January
rush is over, and so delays in processing are not so obvious there. I
always report these problems to our agent.
