De Montfort University have added links to electronic journals into the
OPAC. A site has been created, called "Electronic Resource", which "owns"
the holdings. You can find electronic journals mixed in with other search
results on a general search, or restrict your search to just such electronic
resources. We find OPAC to be a flexible search tool for e-journals as it
provides users with a variety of search strategies and informs them of the
existence of relevant material at their point of searching.
We have also added a banner ad to the main library webpage to point to a
customised e-journal/opac search page. This is one of two random ads, if you
do not see it first time, refresh the screen until it does appear.

Further promotion activities are planned later in the year. We will put up
posters if we can come up with a strong visual idea. But what do electronic
journals look like?
