Subject: Garnet-ilmenite geothermometer...
Dear Listmembers,
Is anyone aware of any recent work (last 5 years) on the
garnet-ilmenite
geothermometer? I have Kress et al. (1985), Pownceby et al. (1987)
and
Pownceby et al. (1991), but haven't found any more recent ones.
In particular I am looking for information concerning how the
manganese
component of ilmenite affects garnet growth processes during
prograde
regional metamorphism.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Rob Newman
