Hi Elspeth - lots of the 'Centres for curiosity and imagination' which are
being set up will have children's boards (following in the shoes of Discover
in East London, and also the Livesey Museum for Children), so networking is
a really good idea. However, I wonder whether it would be best to keep the
networking within GEM rather than setting up a new network, as lots of
networks seem to have difficulty surviving long-term. People could discuss
via this list, organise sessions at GEM conferences, and contribute to GEM
News which is always looking for articles! And maybe organise get-togethers
on an ad hoc basis. Or do you want to throw the net wider than museums,
hands-on centres, heritage centres etc...?
