Certainly. You are right. I just tried to describe the
effect of the particular scenes with the policeman.
As I experienced fear, and then relief, I thought
katharis was appropriate term for that situation.
Tarrantino and many other directors are just using
these tricks the way you describe it. There is no
tragedy there.
And I quite agree that all Aristotle wrote about tragedy
applies only to the theatre.
