Hi
Our rates are similar to those charged by Nottingham.
This issue relates to others recently aired concerning different LEA's
adopting
different practices. As the number of students being supported seems to
be
increasing rapidly, the whole thing could (and probably will) get very
messy
indeed. What sort of variations are we going to see as the number of
part-time
and post-grad students increases also? The rules are not that
transparent as it
is.
One of the wonderful things about the DSA has been that, unlike SEN
support in
schools, quality has not generally been linked to geography. It would be
a great shame
indeed if that were to change.
We already subsidise support for students not covered by the DSA and
would not
wish to subsidise Kingston's students also.
Regards
Peter Hill
