Information and Research Worker

Salary is on a local government related scale 4/5, points 18 to 25 -
£15,855 to £19,236 (including inner London Weighting), starting on point 18.
Skill is a fast growing national voluntary sector organisation developing
opportunities for disabled people in post-16 education, training and
employment.
The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the work of
Skill's Information Service, including: answering enquiries from disabled
people and professionals working with them in post 16 education, training
and employment and researching and writing publications.
You should possess excellent communication skills and have a systematic
approach to your work. You should also have the ability to deal sensitively
with people and be able to work as part of a dynamic team and on an
individual basis. Personal experience of further or higher education, as a
student or as a professional, is desirable. You should be computer literate
with the commitment to develop your IT skills further in line with needs of
the post. Experience of information work and knowledge of disability issues
are desirable.
