D A R E Y O U M I S S T H I S ?

The CMA is holding its Annual Festival and AGM on Friday 6 and Saturday 7
October 2000 at The Drum, Birmingham, one of Britain's leading venues for
African, Caribbean and Asian arts.

At this year's conference we have Richard Hooper, Chair of the Radio
Authority as a key note speaker as well as contributions from GWR Group,
Community Development Foundation, Radiocommunications Agency, British
Telecom, Kingston Communications, Media Development Agency and West Midlands
Arts.

On Friday, there is a webcasting DIY guide and you can also learn how to
edit digital audio using 'Cool Edit Pro' in a workshop presented by Kamal
Prashar. (See below for booking for these workshops) And back by popular
demand, Andy Hamilton with his eclectic Jazz band to open the conference in
the evening.

Community Media Centres will be a central theme for the conference. A
working example of a community media centre will be set in the exhibition
venue with a suite of multimedia computers set up with kind sponsorship from
Information Technology Control, digital radio production and editing
equipment kindly sponsored by RPL (Roy Parson Limited) and digital video
production and editing equipment.

So book now, and don't miss out!
