ATEC, COB of NTPU are pleased to invite scholars from around the world to
participate in the EC 2000 international conference in Taipei, Taiwan, Oct
4-8.
How to Participate
Contributors may submit regular format articles (no more than 20
double-space pages) or symposia proposal. We particularly encourage
proposals for international symposia bringing together participants from two
or more countries to address a specific topic, preferably related to the
conference theme. Contributions should be original and not published or
under consideration in any conference or journal. They will be peer-reviewed
and accepted papers will be included in the proceeding.
The official language of the conference is English. In the reason of popular
usage of Chinese in Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other
Chinese Communities, papers written in Chinese(no more than 20 double-space
pages) with extend English abstract (more than two page or 1000 words) can
also be accepted. These Chinese papers will be arranged in separate sections
and concurrent oral translation between Chinese and English will be
available in these sections.
The outstanding papers of this conference will be chosen and published on
Journal of Business Administration issued by Department of Business
Administration of National Taipei University, which will be distributed to
management related departments of colleges and universities as well as
libraries in Taiwan. Authors of these outstanding papers have the right to
decided whether publishing their papers on that journal or not.
Conference Theme:
The new Millennium is a time for look ahead. Due to the popularity of
Internet, the most influent innovation in the late 20th century, Electronic
Commerce is not just a concept in the textbook. There are enormous
opportunities emerged per day. This conference invites scholars, educators
and practitioner from around world to discuss these important and attractive
opportunities contained in electronic commerce and relative activities. The
conference theme is the Emergent Opportunities of Cyberspace on the New
Millennium. The papers and symposiums of the conference including but not

There are two easy ways to submit the papers or proposals.
A. Email Submission
1. Submit your paper or symposium proposal by Email in the format of MS-Word
and make them be received no late than June 15, 2000. Submitted papers
should follow the Journal of Marketing style guide.
2. The title page of the submission must be in separated file and include
(a) title of paper or proposal; (b) authors; (c) positions; (d)
affiliations; (e) complete mail address; (f) telephone and fax numbers; (g)
email addresses; (h) individual to whom correspondence should be addressed.
Authors name may only appear on the title page file.

4. Please remember that Deadline for receipt of Submission is June 15 2000.
B. Hardcopy Submission
1. Submit four typed, double-spaced copies of your paper or symposium
proposal and make them be received no late than June 15, 2000. Submitted
papers should follow the Journal of Marketing style guide.
2. The title page of the submission must include (a) title of paper or
proposal; (b) authors; (c) positions; (d) affiliations; (e) complete mail
address; (f) telephone and fax numbers; (g) email addresses; (h) individual
to whom correspondence should be addressed. Authors name may only appear on
the title page.
3. Send the four copies of manuscript to Prof. Wenchang Fang at the follow

4. After mail the paper or proposal, please send an email to
