                        CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

This conference is the third in a series of conferences that serve as a
forum for an international community of researchers, practitioners and
vendors on all aspects of computer-aided timetable generation.

Technical Programme
*******************
The programme includes three keynote addresses and over 60 paper or
abstract presentations by academics, practitioners and vendors from
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic,

The preliminary programme and the list of presentations can be found at

All papers and abstracts have been through a rigorous review process to
ensure that they are useful, interesting and relevant to the field. All
attendees will receive a bound copy of the full proceedings including
all papers and abstracts that are being presented at the conference.
A selection of the papers will appear in a post conference volume
published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science.

Vendor Exhibits
***************
An exhibition of timetabling software forms an important and integral
part of PATAT 2000. It provides an ideal opportunity for promoting
commercial software systems and tools working as assistants to the
timetabler.

As of early May, eleven commercial vendors (from Australia, Botswana,
Finland, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa, UK and USA) had expressed
an interest in setting up an exhibit and giving a presentation.

For more information on the vendor exhibition see:
http://www.fh-konstanz.de/patat2000/vendors.htm

About the Venue, Travel Hints
*****************************
Lake Constance is Europe's second largest inland lake. It lies between
Germany, Switzerland and Austria. At the point where the lake drains
into the river Rhine there was an old Roman fort, which later became the
medieval town of Constance (Konstanz). Today, Constance has a population
of around 76,000 and two universities.

For more details, see:
http://www.fh-konstanz.de/patat2000/venue.htm

You will find travel hints on:
