As does Elizabeth James, so too do I love other folk's holiday snaps. (OK,
I admit there *are some classy snappers among my acquaintance.) My reading
is that those responding to chris' suggestion are all in some sense
situating themselves, and this is providing me with a conceptual mapping of
the British Poetry mailing list. For me, that's interesting.
By the way, 'window', 'windows' and 'windowing' are not trademarks in
relation to computing, although 'Windows' is one. In software use, training
and design, whether the software runs on Apple, Linux, Unix, Microsoft,
whatever, they are part of the common idiom. The metaphor is older and
stronger than the trademark. Did chris say anything about 'Windows'?
Anyway, thanks to chris for initiating what has turned out to be a good
introduction to the list for this new-comer.
