Danke. I think one could add disco music too.
My point of distress on the architectural analogy was precisely in the
denial of human intimacy and self-determination that implied. On the matter
of the avant-garde, all I want to point out now is not 1914 anymore, which
fact applies to mainstream writing too, and to suggest that the historical
circumstances of the present are different. History, Marx observed, repeats
itself, the first time as tragedy, the second as farce. I would hope that my
protest at the governaunce of speech by a cash nexus would be shared by
anyone on reflection.
I do feel that the tone of some of the comments thrown in Tim Allen's
direction has been somewhat OTT. And for now, that's all I wish to say.
Oh, sorry, good luck in the shack, Kent.
