Now, Cresida Annesley's reply to my suggestion is precisely what I wanted to
avoid. Editors of the Journal have been inviting  submissions for the
Journal for years and getting - well, not always useful articles.
For Heaven's sake,. why don't you get a little more proactive and instead of
waiting for something, go out and get it. There really is no reason why you
shouldn't identify something yourself and follow it up. Just as there really
is no reason to be so handwringingly helpless.
