Company annual reports: assuring the distributed national print
archive
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does your library/archives centre have an historical collection of
company annual reports? Are you interested in issues surrounding the
collection of or access to this kind of literature? If so, you are
invited to attend the launch event for this RSLP funded project, to
be carried out by the libraries of London Business School, Warwick
University, Strathclyde University and Manchester Business School,
with major input from the British Library and Guildhall Library.
The project will address the concern that historic company annual
reports - important primary research documents - are increasingly
being discarded by libraries as more current material becomes
available electronically. The project aims to provide a comprehensive
resource for researchers interested in using annual report literature
and a focus for the development of a national strategy for ensuring
continued access to this literature.
The purpose of the launch event (details below) is:
-To inform participants of the project's aims
-To seek the community's views on key issues relevant to these aims.
Your input is needed to help make this project a success.
