Lynda,
The London Region holds 4 meetings a year, 3 on weekday
evenings and one on a Saturday, which we've tried to tout as a
summer day out (but appear to have run out of suitably leafy
venues). I carried out the ubiquitous questionnaire when I started
as a Regional officer, and asked for preferences re: time & location
of meetings. Most people who replied wanted weekday evenings, in
a Central London location, so we haven't really changed the format.
Whether it works or not is a different story... time for a debate on
the issue at the next London Region meeting (25th October,
Hackney Archives, David Mander is our speaker.... plug, plug, plug).
Now this time I really AM off for lunch.
