Ms. Benco,
Regarding the unique animal bone implements, may I suggest that you get in
touch with Mr. Eytan Ayalon, curator of the "Man and his Work" pavilion at
the Eretz Israel Museum, Ramat Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Mr. Ayalon has recently curated an excellent exhibition (with a first class
exhibition catalogue [Ayalon, E. and Sorek, C. 1999. "Bare Bones: Ancient
Artifacts from Animal Bones". Tel Aviv: Eretz Israel Museum (Hebrew and
English]) on the use of bones and bones tools and implements from
archaeological contexts. I would suggest discussing this with him. Though I
don't have his email address offhand, the telephone numbers of the Museum
are: Tel: (972) 3 641 5244; Fax: (972) 3 641 2408.
All the best,
Aren Maeir
