Vacancies exist for suitably qualified Statisticians or Biometricians with a strong commitment to both teaching and research. Ideally one will be filled at the senior level and the other at the lectureship level. The Statistics and Biometry section of the school maintains an active role in applied statistical research and has widespread consulting activities.
Requirements:
* For the lectureship a relevant Masters degree (in exceptional cases candidates with a good Honours degree);
* For the senior lectureship a relevant PhD degree (in exceptional cases a Masters degree with strong research potential);
* For the professorial positions a PhD degree with a proven research record. In addition, applicants for the full Professorship will have to provide evidence of administrative experience, leadership qualities, wide teaching experience, and a good reputation for research in a recognised area of Statistics.
Candidates should clearly indicate the level at which they wish to be considered.
