For Ian's query
What you want is a statement of service
which need be no more than a number of bullet points on the
services you offer or provide. The service level agreement
stuff is what a purchaser (NHS trust for e.g. ) agrees to
pay in return for the supplier's ( hospital) agreed
services ( e.g. x hip ops at Ły). Your lot are paid a
salary and unless you are self-employed within your
University, your employer will not be buying services from
you, neither will the students. I had to pay to go on a
course to learn this!
The statement may not be enough: you may need to say
something about the procedures you operate as well e.g.
appointments only, your ethical practices, DPA stuff such
as consent to disclosure of records, professional standards
etc. If you want to clarify on both sides as you suggest
and one side is the student body, you might want to say
something about your expectations of students e.g turning
up to appointments on time, bringing relevant paperwork,
courtesy towards staff, etc.
