Good Morning list..

Triad is currently seeking an experienced GIS Business Partner for our Central London client. The role is an initial 1 year fixed term contract.

The role;

To deliver spatial services and projects to the various portfolios through utlisation of appropriate tools, provision of data, analysis and outputs to appropriate timescales and quality.  The role requires working with stakeholders to establish spatial solutions and thus communication skills and an ability to build and maintain effective business relationships is vital.  The position includes management of Specialist and Analyst roles to ensure that operational issues and/or other impediments to delivery are resolved.

Essential functions of the job:

•Ensure GIS data, analysis and outputs are delivered to appropriate timescales and quality.
•Maintain an expert knowledge of both GIS and the portfolios and their business plans to ensure work is aligned with industry best practice and that outputs created utilise the full range of technology and meet business needs.
•Utilise GIS analysis and modelling tools to provide unique insights about our assets and development opportunities.
•Own GIS processes and procedures and ensure they are rigorously implemented and adhered to.
•Ensure all GIS data about current assets and future opportunities is maintained to a high standard, in line with GIS team quality procedures.
•Build strong stakeholder relationships and promote self-service GIS solutions wherever possible.
•Seek efficiencies and new opportunities in the way that GIS outputs are delivered through the use of contemporary GIS technology, automation and self-service tools and make use of improved GIS dissemination tools, such as ArcGIS Online, to disseminate GIS solutions and spatial information more effectively.
•Work closely with the GIS Manager and GIS Business Partner to ensure consistency of GIS services and outputs across the whole business.
•Provide effective management support and plan workload effectively to meet deadlines, ensuring that prioritisation of requests are understood and resources are balanced.
•Provide good leadership, direction and support for GIS Specialist and Analysts by offering motivational guidance, coaching, training and development.
•Actively contribute to developing, maintaining and implementing the GIS strategy.

Experience required:

Proven experience in the following areas:
•Ensuring contemporary tools and techniques are deployed to provide insightful analysis.
•Managing and prioritising GIS work within a team.
•Designing, implementing and monitoring high quality and consistent GIS services, outputs, processes and procedures.
•Working with Python scripting.
•Central London & Regional and Rural portfolio knowledge and how GIS adds value and de-risks our business.
•Ability to lead work streams and generate support for proposed future work.
•Building strong relationships with stakeholders (internal & external)
•Confident in communicating with staff at all levels as well as external stakeholders.
•Excellent approach to customer service.
•Able to demonstrate behaviors which show taking personal responsibility and service orientation.
•Able to determine effective and efficient approach to problem solving and tasks.

Skills required:

•BSc/MSc Geographical Information Systems/Science (GIS) or related studies.
•An expert knowledge of ERSI desktop.
•Detailed understanding of ESRI geoprocessing tools and how datasets are manipulated.
•An expert knowledge of the Central London & Regional and Rural portfolios is critical to the role.
•Expert knowledge about metadata, relevant standards, projections and transformations and their importance.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
•Good staff management/line management/work management skills.
•Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and priorities.
•Flexible, enthusiastic and approachable working style, willing to try new ideas.

The role offers a salary range of £38-£43k per annum along with a benefits package.
